Not limited to reporting on space, he flew through the eye of a hurricane, submerged in research submarines, and endured wilderness survival school in search of material for his stories. He is the author of The Riddle of the Dinosaur, The Mapmakers, and The Mysterious History of Columbus, as well as several books on space exploration.
