Description

Robert Bakos will discuss "Dead German Composers and How They Got That Way," including the medical histories of some of our best-known composers. He will investigate how their medical conditions affected their creativity and contributed to their deaths. As a youth, Bakos studied at the Cleveland Music Settlement for nine years where he became proficient on violin and clarinet, while he studied music theory and composition. He is now an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester. Accompanied by recorded music.
