In this lecture, Catherine D’Ignazio, Assistant Professor of Urban Science and Planning and Director of the Data + Feminism Lab at MIT and Lauren F. Klein, Associate Professor in the departments of English and Quantitative Theory & Methods and Director of the Digital Humanities Lab at Emory University, will speak about Data Feminism, a book that they co-authored, which was published by MIT Press in March 2020. In the book, they outline a new way of thinking about data science and data ethics that is informed by the ideas of intersectional feminism.
