Dear Sister
We received thy letter a few days ago and was disappoi -nted to find thee did not seem inclined to come here this winter or spring so I thought I would write and see if on reconsidering it thee would not be induced to alter thy mind on the subject and make us a visit before thee goes to New York I think it would ne much better to come here first now thee is so near thee can come here from Lockport in about 15 hours and I am afraid if thee gets away off to N York it will be a long time if ever before thee gets here again. We should like very much to see some of thy paintings so I think thee had better come and bring some
