our Post office is still Auburn
Dear Amy Skineatles [Skaneateles] Dec 2 /65 I am much improved in health am with [Abbee?] at her home at Skineatles [Skaneateles]. She has a fine healthy babe [5?] day old doing well with a good [illegible] I left EJG very feeble, indeed she has been so a long time I have but a few [illegible] today Please send me 30. [dolly?] by a postal order? (I believe I have it right) [illegible] to Isaac [illegible] [illegible] Auburn I will now say all I have time to as Isaac is to go to the office I think of my dear [illegible] in R often but have been for [illegible] unable to [illegible] much the history of our trials would form a chapter in which my dear Amy would sympathize but I hope EJG will arise from her bed a wiser woman she has been the victim of a [martial?] anxiety which has [beat?] her very low
