the spot where good or evil influences will be powerfully felt in the future education of public sentiment of this country. God helping me through his angels both out ^and^ in the flesh I am determined to try to do something for humanity here. I should not speak this freely of my own trials & aspirations only [illegible] for our previous talks and understandings. Your letter be- traying in every line an interest in our- selves and humanity every where does me good. We thank you for your kind sug- -gestions & will endeavor to heed them, and save ourselves bitter experience. [Name?] improves slowly, but we hope to he may attain to firmer health. The children are doing very well in their studies and health. We are in a rented house but think strongly of buying soon a ten acre place with suitable buildings not far from the University. It is a beautiful country here for variety of scenery but much of the beauty and variety is made up of steep hills and deep gorges. We expect you sometime in the future to visit us and see for yourself.
