Pg. 1 Dear Children
unexpectedly a few days after the date of your
affectionate letter, we did receive it, and read it ameadiately which is always the case, and thought how preacious it was for Sisters to dwell together in such sweet unity. it was comparable to the ointment that was pour^ed on the head of ___ that ran down to the neithermost skirts of her garments-those which I had never felt a single doubt but was your lot and portion, it was more pleasant to me than to have heard of your seperation, altho I feel a resignation to either way as your better judgement may dictate, it now occours to me that I made some mention ^of the comitees visiting Obediah and Martha Willets which passed on harmoniously no objection to their retaining their right of membership, it now was just mentioned in the mens meeting to defer it one month, but other friends saw no use in puting it off so it appeared in unity to pass it by I will just give the report in our appartment ( we had a satisfactory opportunity with her, she acknowledg the correctness of the charge, was sorry to become a trans____, and very desirus to be retaind a member) The Mo Mg __ at Be___that time, where we had David ____ a minister from Marlbo___ acceptably, ___Merrick not out he ___ears to be declining much of his flesh gone his Old complaint but I think he has been out ones s___ to Mg but it was rather to much, Mary O Bunker at her father’s did not get to meeting, cross out, Did not I mention some time past of John Jackson of Derby being ill his Wife thought far gone in the consumpsion we soon cross out heard he had cross out was recovering now we ^here that he and George True= =man have obtained Certificates to visit some Islands in the West Indes so I suppose his health must be better, Sarah does thee not remember Elise’s New= =port attending our Mg and the Yearly Mg a few years past she now has the approbation of her friends to visit the families of flushing Westbury and Jericho an ardaus task, and Rachel Wicks to your Y Mg messengers feet are turned to the North South East West cousin Ann Mott spent a very pleasant afternoon with us on second day our Quarterly Mg week, the next morning she left for NY she said her health had improved very much while in the country, I think near 2 weeks she enquiered particular after you, and wether thee had joined the assosiation with Abigail Moor + others said Abigail was in great hopes She would ____ but I could not recolect that She had writen any thig
