The first Neilly Series Lecture of the academic year will be held Wednesday, October 24th with one of America's leading authors, Chang-rae Lee, speaking.
Chang-rae Lee is known for his novels that explore themes of identity and assimilation. His first novel, Native Speaker won a PEN/Hemingway Foundation Award and an American Book Award. Lee is described as an "infectiously enthusiatic teacher" who enjoys helping students find their own literary voices in his role as professor at Princeton University.
Chang-rae Lee will be introduced by Joanna Scott, the University's Roswell Smith Burrows Professor of English.
