the spot where good or evil
influences will be powerfully felt in
the future education of public
sentiment of this country. God helping
me through his angels both out ^and^ in
the flesh I am determined to try to do
something for humanity here. I should
not speak this freely of my own trials
& aspirations only [illegible] for our previous
talks and understandings. Your letter be-
traying in every line an interest in our-
selves and humanity every where does me
good. We thank you for your kind sug-
-gestions & will endeavor to heed them, and
save ourselves bitter experience. [Name?]
improves slowly, but we hope to he may
attain to firmer health. The children are
doing very well in their studies and health.
We are in a rented house but think
strongly of buying soon a ten acre
place with suitable buildings not far
from the University. It is a beautiful country
here for variety of scenery but much of
the beauty and variety is made up of
steep hills and deep gorges. We expect
you sometime in the future to visit us
and see for yourself.
