Case - and shall stay with Abbie perhaps all
summer - I feel as if I must work on &
Cant [sic] be idle. Will not my dear friend
Amy make some effort to obtain a com-
munication from Phebe - I think that girl
at Mrs Crunk a good Medium - we have
none here that I know of I wish I could
get some help for my little Mary I
see Jackson Davis [Andrew Jackson Davis] has some “Whispering” in
his paper but I have no means of know
ing how to act (or rather I feel of too
little consequence) I feel that I am
not stingy and would do if I could but
know how - I certainly have had more
of a "good time" with "Leah" and I dont [sic]
know but it was because it was so ex
clusive in a mix’d [sic] company I should
have been [show’d?] out I shall be much
confined [unless?] the little one should do
well I dont [sic] know how she can ever be well
but we dont [sic] know - warm weather dont [sic] seem to
suit her she is now failing again but I
will do all I can tho’ [sic] I dont [sic] want her to live
